- The following week found Jan and Nancy working more closely with Karl on a very large opportunity. When Wednesday came around and the girls showed up at the house, Karl had already been working from 4:00 AM without a shower, and had jumped in to get a quick one. The girls got set up in the home office at 7:30 AM, their normal time, when Karl's company messaging app rang on his computer. Then, it rang again, then again. Someone was really trying to get hold of him. Nancy looked at this screen and saw that it was his boss.
